The Goa government is set to launch a dedicated portal in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Goa for the upcoming decennial exposition of St Francis Xavier's relics, scheduled to begin in November.

This significant spiritual event draws millions of Christians worldwide. The relics, typically housed in the Basilica of Bom Jesus at Old Goa, will be moved in a procession to Se Cathedral Church. There, they will remain for veneration from November 21, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Pope Francis to India, extending an invitation for the Pope to attend the exposition.
