Amidst festive fervour and a deep sense of devotion, throngs of devotees congregated early Monday morning at temples adorned in yellow to seek Lord Krishna's blessings on Janmashtami.

The air was filled with chants of 'Hare Krishna' and soulful bhajans as devotees sang and danced. Children dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha accompanied their parents to these sacred sites.

The Laxmi Narayan temple, also known as Birla Mandir, was illuminated for the occasion, featuring decorations with flowers imported from as far as Thailand. Many areas showcased exquisite tableaux of Lord Krishna.

Highlighting contemporary concerns, Chhattarpur temple held a 'Nritya Natika' (dance drama) themed on the Russia-Ukraine war, aimed at spreading a message of world peace inspired by Lord Krishna's teachings.

The ISKCON temple in East of Kailash hosted a 'Maha Puja' and a 'bhog' offering of 1,008 different dishes, drawing large queues of devotees from as early as 4:30 am. Security was heightened across temples citywide, ensuring a serene and safe celebration for all attendees.
