A study conducted by Humanify, a technology-based research platform, shows newspapers are still the most credible news source for both older and younger generations. While older respondents cited concerns over fake news on the internet, nearly half of the under-30 demographic also preferred newspapers over TV, social media, and websites.

The study highlights that despite the digital age, trust in traditional media remains strong. Conducted through Humanify's app, the study revealed that 84.1% of readers prefer receiving news digitally, with the older demographic showing a similar pattern. Convenience was the main reason for this preference, with 93.2% rating digital formats highly for easy access, especially while commuting.

Humanify's founder, Geetika Kambli, noted the significance of newspapers adapting to digital formats to retain relevance among younger readers. The study also mentioned that local news coverage is increasingly appreciated, indicating a shift towards localized and customized news consumption.
