Sudha Murty, a renowned author and philanthropist, expressed her preference for feedback from Indian children over her London-based granddaughters when it comes to her children's books. She believes that children brought up in India can relate more to the stories, providing more insightful feedback. Murty, who recently released 'Grandpa's Bag of Stories,' has a unique writing process where she immerses herself in a child's perspective to create engaging stories.

Murty's literary contributions include 46 books, translated into 23 Indian languages, and she has won multiple awards, including the Sahitya Academy Award in 2023. Despite her achievements, she remains dedicated to refining her work based on the honest feedback of young readers. Her latest book in the 'Bag of Stories' series continues to reflect her commitment to crafting compelling narratives for children.

Currently serving as a Rajya Sabha MP, Murty views this role as an opportunity to serve her country more directly. She humorously remarks that while her grandchildren may eventually pursue writing, talent is not hereditary. 'Grandpa's Bag of Stories' is dedicated to her grandson Ekagrah Murty and is published by Penguin Random House India.
