Amidst severe flooding in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have assured Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of comprehensive assistance, according to Union Minister G Kishan Reddy. The federal leaders have sent National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams to aid in relief efforts.
Union Minister Reddy stated that Khammam and Mahabubabad are among the worst-hit areas, with water inundating numerous homes. He confirmed that BJP workers are actively distributing relief supplies to those affected. The federal response teams will evaluate the damages and ensure necessary support.
Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his sympathy for flood victims in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, urging Congress leaders to provide aid. He emphasized the urgency for both central and state governments to offer extensive rehabilitation packages. Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy has earmarked immediate and ex-gratia financial aid, committing to increase compensation for livestock losses. A comprehensive damage report is forthcoming.
