AP Govt Secures Power Boats for Flood Relief in Vijayawada

The Andhra Pradesh government has received power boats from the Centre to aid in flood relief efforts in Vijayawada. The request was made by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to Union Home Minister Amit Shah amid a critical shortage of resources.
In response, the Union Home Ministry dispatched 40 power boats and six helicopters to assist the flood-stricken region. According to an official statement, boats have already arrived in Vijayawada and are being utilized for food distribution and evacuee transport in areas like Ajit Singh Nagar.
Naidu has directed officials to provide clothes, milk packets, food, and water to those affected. The state government is also sourcing food from private establishments, with Naidu planning additional visits to the submerged areas. The floods have impacted over 2.7 lakh people in Vijayawada, severely disrupting daily life.
