Viral Independence Day Pigeon Mishap in Chhattisgarh

A video of a pigeon release mishap in Mungeli district, Chhattisgarh, has gone viral, leading a local police officer to demand action. The incident occurred during an Independence Day celebration, echoing a scene from the web series 'Panchayat'. The pigeon fell to the ground, unlike others which flew off successfully.

A video depicting a pigeon release gone wrong during Independence Day celebrations in Chhattisgarh's Mungeli district has rapidly gained traction online. The incident, involving a police officer whose pigeon failed to fly, has caused significant embarrassment, leading the officer to call for accountability.

Social media users were quick to draw parallels with a similar scene from season 3 of the popular web series 'Panchayat'. At the event, BJP MLA and former minister Punnulal Mohle, who was the chief guest, along with Mungeli Collector Rahul Deo and Superintendent of Police Girija Shankar Jaiswal, were each handed pigeons to release, symbolizing peace and freedom.

While the pigeons released by the MLA and the collector flew off as intended, the pigeon released by the SP fell to the ground. Viral footage shared by social media user Sachin Gupta depicted the mishap, prompting the SP to write a letter to the collector demanding disciplinary action against the officer responsible for presenting the sick pigeon. The bird, however, was confirmed to be alive.
