Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday reposted a lewd social media remark about Vice-President Kamala Harris, intensifying the series of disparaging attacks by Republicans against his Democratic rival.

The offensive comment was made by another Truth Social user, referencing former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and former President Bill Clinton's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky. Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller told CNN he had seen the post but hadn't discussed it with Trump, and it remains unclear if Trump noticed the comment or just the accompanying picture.

The repost appears amid an uptick of racially and sexually charged attacks from Trump and his supporters against Harris, who recently replaced President Joe Biden atop the Democratic ticket and now leads Trump in most national polls. Despite these attacks, Trump's supporters warn this strategy might backfire in reaching out to Black voters.
