Protest Rally in Kolkata's IT Hub: Justice for Doctor’s Tragic Death

Hundreds of IT professionals gathered in Salt Lake Sector 5, Kolkata, on Tuesday to protest the recent rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Participants, equipped with candles and placards, were joined by journalists and media professionals who work in the area. The rally commenced from WEBEL More and covered a 2 km route through the city's IT hub.

Soumita Mukherjee, a journalist and protester, stated, ''I have been to other rallies to show solidarity and fulfill my job as a reporter. Today, I am walking again as a stakeholder of this movement and an officegoer.'' Similar rallies took place in other parts of Kolkata, including Baranagar.
