Indian-origin business leaders and women empowerment advocates from a dozen Commonwealth countries took center stage at the Business Excellence Awards 2024, hosted for the first time on the African continent.

More than 60 awards were distributed in various categories, highlighting the achievements of individuals and businesses from countries including South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Dubai, and Mauritius. The event, previously held in Singapore, celebrated excellence in business and significant social and environmental contributions.

The ceremony, which concluded two days of discussions among 400 business, civil society, and political leaders, emphasized transformative partnerships and accelerated growth. South African Indian-origin businessman Vinesh Sukhari, who coordinated the event, lauded the awardees for their leadership, vision, and dedication, focusing on the Fintech industry. Prominent winners like Sammy Naidoo echoed these sentiments, reinforcing the philosophy of giving back to the community.
