Singh, who released the Rs 100 coin, praised Karunanidhi as a towering figure in Indian politics and a stalwart for social justice and cultural affairs.

Addressing party members and the public, Stalin highlighted that inviting the Central Minister does not imply any covert alliance with the BJP, reinforcing that the DMK's political actions are transparent and principle-based. He recalled Singh's genuine admiration for Karunanidhi, which left him profoundly moved.
