Violent clashes erupted between two groups during a Ganesh idol procession in Nagamangala town, leading to the arrest of 46 individuals, police confirmed on Thursday.
The town experienced tension on Wednesday night, resulting in minor injuries to a few people, including two policemen, due to stone pelting.
While the situation has now stabilized, police have imposed prohibitory orders and additional security forces, including the Karnataka State Reserve Police, have been deployed, said Mandya Superintendent of Police Mallikarjun Baldandi.
