Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, leading a high-level official delegation to the USA, has embarked on a mission to transform the state into a USD one trillion economy by 2030. On Thursday, he sought support from the United States, known as the 'Land of Opportunities,' for the state's economic prosperity.
Upon arrival in San Francisco, Stalin received a warm reception. He was welcomed by Consul General K Srikar Reddy and former Union Minister Napoleon, who presented him with a shawl. Accompanied by his wife Durga, Industries Minister T R B Rajaa, and senior officials, Stalin aims to draw significant investments to Tamil Nadu during his fortnight-long visit.
Stalin participated in a meeting with potential investors in San Francisco and plans to address the Tamil community on August 31. His itinerary includes discussions with representatives from US-based companies in Chicago on September 2, urging them to invest in Tamil Nadu. He is set to meet the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies before returning to Chennai on September 14.
