Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former deputy chief minister, paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at the Rajghat memorial on Saturday, following his release from jail in the Delhi excise policy case.

Accompanied by fellow AAP members, including MP Sanjay Singh and ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, Sisodia first offered prayers at the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place, expressing hope for the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Sisodia's bail, granted by the Supreme Court on Friday, concluded his 17-month incarceration. His arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was linked to alleged irregularities in the now-defunct Delhi excise policy for 2021-22. Post-release, Sisodia commended the Constitution for his bail and addressed party supporters at the AAP headquarters.
