Former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and JJP Leader Dushyant Chautala on Sunday leveled accusations of land corruption against former Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda. In an exclusive interview with ANI, Chautala attributed the ongoing colonization to Hooda.

Chautala emphasized the critical need for urban planning to improve civic facilities across the country. He stated that without urban planning education and new infrastructural replacements, progression is impeded, regardless of ministerial capability.

Reaffirming JJP's decision not to ally with the BJP in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, Chautala asserted that his party will emerge as the most important political entity in the near future. Haryana's elections are scheduled for October 1, with vote counting on October 4.

During the interview, Chautala assured that he would not join hands with the BJP. Reflecting on JJP's performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, he suggested using past setbacks as opportunities. Despite BJP's coalition with JJP in the last assembly, JJP's vote share plummeted to 0.87% in 2024.

Discussing potential alliances, Chautala expressed openness to collaborating with the INDIA alliance if their party becomes a priority. He recounted his experiences with the NDA alliance, highlighting the necessity of mutual respect.

Analyzing the reasons behind JJP's poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections, Chautala pointed to a disconnect with farmer sentiments, which he feels cost them dearly. He admitted that his party's alignment with the government during the farmers' agitation was misinterpreted by their major voter base.

The state assembly's previous election saw the BJP form a coalition government with JJP, winning 40 and 10 seats respectively, while Congress secured 31 seats. The upcoming 2024 elections are poised for a four-way contest involving BJP, Congress, JJP, and AAP.
