Adivasi Mahotsav-2024 to Celebrate Indigenous Culture in Ranchi

The Adivasi Mahotsav-2024, a state-sponsored celebration of tribal culture, will commence in Ranchi on Friday. The two-day event, held at Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park, aims to promote tribal art, culture, lifestyle, and cuisine. The festival will feature various activities, including book unveilings, a forest rights lease, and performances by tribal artists from several states.

The Adivasi Mahotsav-2024 will kick off in Ranchi on Friday, coinciding with the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.

This two-day, state-sponsored festival at Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park cum Museum in Jail Chowk aims to celebrate and promote tribal art, culture, lifestyle, cuisine, music, and dance.

The event will be inaugurated by State Coordination Committee Chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren, with Chief Minister Hemant Soren also in attendance. The festival will unveil 12 books and issue a forest rights lease. Artists from Mizoram, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tripura, Chhattisgarh, and other states will participate, displaying their rich traditions and cultures. A tribal book fair and dazzling firework and laser shows will be among the highlights.
