KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli has urged the police to thoroughly investigate the mass killings that occurred in Highflats on Wednesday night, where seven people, including three children, were allegedly executed while sitting in their lounge.
Expressing profound concern over the brutal violence, Premier Ntuli has directed KwaZulu-Natal South African Police Service (SAPS) Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, to deploy all available resources to apprehend those responsible and ensure justice is served swiftly.
"We are committed to the safety and security of all our citizens in KwaZulu-Natal. Our deepest condolences go out to those affected by this tragic event," Premier Ntuli stated.
The Premier will visit Highflats today (Thursday) to assess the situation firsthand and offer support to the affected community.
