The video, purportedly from the Government Higher Secondary School in Bhatchaura village, was shot on July 29. In the footage, the girls can be seen drinking beer and soft drinks, according to TR Sahu, District Education Officer (DEO) of Bilaspur.

A three-member committee has been established to probe the incident. The team recorded statements from the concerned students and teachers on Monday, revealed Sahu. The students claimed they waved beer bottles for fun while making videos but did not actually consume the drink. Authorities will take action against the principal and head of the institution to prevent such incidents in the future. Additionally, parents of the involved students will receive notices. Sources indicate the video was shared on social media following a classmate's birthday celebration on July 29.
