In a significant stride towards addressing anaemia, the Ministries of Women and Child Development (WCD) and Ayush have joined forces to implement a targeted initiative during September's 'Poshan Maah'.
The effort, focusing on five selected 'Utkarsh Districts', aims to enhance the nutritional status of adolescent girls aged 14-18 through evidence-based Ayurvedic treatments, including 'drakshavleh' and 'punarnavamandoor'.
This initiative aligns with the broader 'Rashtriya Poshan Maah' campaign, aiming to eradicate malnutrition and anaemia in India. The selected districts are Dhubri, Bastar, Paschimi Singhbhum, Gadchiroli, and Dhoulpur, spanning across Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, respectively.
