The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday apprehended Dixit Patel, the proprietor of Jay Jalaram School in Godhra, Gujarat, over alleged malpractices related to the NEET-UG examination.

Dixit Patel, whose institution was a designated exam center, was arrested early in the morning from his residence. Public prosecutor Rakesh Thakor stated that Patel is currently being transported to Ahmedabad by the CBI team to secure his remand.

"The Gujarat government has transferred the case to the CBI. Patel will be produced before a designated court in Ahmedabad," added Thakor.
