In a sharp critique, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of misconduct, alleging a decade of unchecked actions leading to scams and the 'looting' of Delhi. This comes in light of an FIR filed against AAP's national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, and others.
Khandelwal commented on the situation following the Delhi police's filing of an FIR upon a complaint of public property defacement in Dwarka, involving prominent AAP figures. The complaint alleges violations under the Defacement of Public Property Act.
The Rouse Avenue court, on March 11, mandated the police to register an FIR based on the complaint by Shiv Kumar Saksena. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Mittal emphasized immediate action under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2007. The investigation into this longstanding case is progressing, with a hearing scheduled for April 18, 2025.
