Passengers have flocked to social media platforms to bid an emotional farewell to Vistara as the airline prepares to integrate with Air India on Monday. This merger sees Vistara, a collaborative effort between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, fully merging with Air India, which is also owned by Tata Group.

Sharing his sentiment, passenger Chirag Naik posted on X, "Wrapped up my last flight on @airvistara before its merger with @airindia, set to complete in two days. Filled with nostalgia for the great flights and excellent service that made Vistara India's best airline." Another sentiment shared by Brown Sahiba on X expressed the feeling of loss, comparing it to the end of Jet Airways.

Despite the changes, passengers can expect continuity. The inflight experience will remain intact, operated by Vistara's crew under the new Air India umbrella. Flights will transition to a new Air India four-digit code starting with '2', with current routes and schedules preserved, ensuring that what customers loved about Vistara continues seamlessly.

In the wake of the merger, Air India has ramped up its customer service efforts, establishing help desks and additional support across key airports. Staff in co-branded T-shirts will guide passengers during this transition. Moreover, customer inquiries addressed to Vistara will be redirected to Air India to maintain a seamless service experience.

Over 270,000 passengers booked on Vistara have already been integrated into Air India's system. Meanwhile, the transition process also encompasses Vistara's 4.5 million loyalty program members. The combined Air India portfolio will offer customers access to an extensive network, expanding connectivity to over 90 destinations and further reach via codeshare partners.

Adjustments during this merger include Air India's fleet upgrades and receipt of new aircraft. Vistara's acclaimed catering services will now enhance Air India's offerings, promising a refined travel experience moving forward in the aviation landscape. (ANI)
