Madrid has expressed its commitment to bolstering New Delhi's energy security and facilitating its green transition, as Spanish President Pedro Sanchez stated during his visit to India on Tuesday.
In a business gathering in Mumbai, Sanchez pushed for the advancement of a free trade agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union, citing the necessity of ambitious proposals to leverage mutual growth.
Emphasizing Spain's leadership in clean energy, Sanchez invited collaboration on solar, wind, and green hydrogen projects, while Union Minister Nitin Gadkari highlighted Spanish solutions in waste management and transportation.
