Bomb Hoax Rattles Air India's Indore Flight

A bomb threat on an Air India flight from Delhi to Mumbai, passing through Indore, turned out to be a hoax, leading to a police case against an unknown person. Over 100 bomb threats have been reported across Indian flights, all found to be unsubstantiated.

A bomb threat targeting Air India's flight AI 636, connecting Delhi, Indore, and Mumbai, caused alarm but was ultimately confirmed as a hoax, according to Indore authorities.

The alert surfaced Tuesday evening via social media, prompting swift police action. Air India's local officials filed a complaint, leading to a criminal case against an anonymous social media user under Indian Penal Code's section on criminal intimidation.

In the wake of more than 100 similar threats across India, all later debunked, aviation security concerns are rising, though officials stress these are not backed by any real danger.
