The Centre is actively fostering employment opportunities for the youth as part of its strategy to establish India as a prominent manufacturing hub, Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy stated on Tuesday.
During the 'Rozgar Mela' event, Reddy detailed the government's efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill public sector vacancies in a mission mode. The initiative, in its 10th edition, has already seen nine lakh appointments delivered across numerous public events.
Beyond state recruitment, the push includes collaborations with the private sector and outsourcing, while various government programmes like Start Up India and Mudra loans play a pivotal role in job creation. Efforts to encourage multinationals to manufacture within India are also key to reducing foreign imports and generating domestic employment.
