Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday reinforced the continuation of the 'Ladli Behna Yojana,' emphasizing government support for women from low-income groups to earn Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 per month through self-employment and small businesses.

Speaking at an event in Bina town, Yadav electronically transferred a monthly instalment of Rs 1,250 to the scheme's beneficiaries. A total of Rs 1,574 crore was distributed as part of this financial assistance initiative aimed at women from underprivileged backgrounds.

Launched by the previous BJP government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the scheme has been instrumental in the party's electoral success in the 2023 assembly polls.

Yadav also highlighted plans for the Indore-Manmad (Maharashtra) rail line, scheduled for completion in 2028-29, which will facilitate direct goods delivery to ports from various regions of Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the state is promoting air cargo to boost trade and has committed to building cow shelters and offering bonuses for milk production.
