New Rail Line Between Indore and Mumbai Approved to Boost Connectivity and Development

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving a new rail line between Indore and Mumbai. This significant project showcases their unwavering commitment to the BJP-ruled state's development.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) sanctioned a 309 km new rail line, promising the shortest train connectivity between these two major commercial hubs, currently separated by more than 800 km of rail. The shortened route is set to bring substantial economic and social benefits.
According to the Railway Minister, the entire project is estimated to cost Rs 18,036 crore and is expected to be completed by 2028-29. The initiative aligns with the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan, aimed at enhancing multi-modal connectivity through integrated planning, offering seamless movement of people, goods, and services.
