BJP leader and former Union Minister V Muraleedharan has accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of attempting to silence Nilambur Independent MLA PV Anvar. Anvar had made serious allegations against Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) M R Ajith Kumar.
Muraleedharan elaborated on the claims, suggesting that Vijayan might be linked to gold smuggling and implying a connection between the CM and the ADGP. Anvar's allegations also targeted Vijayan's political secretary P Sasi and Pathanamthitta Superintendent of Police Sujit Das.
Anvar claimed the political secretary and ADGP breached the CM's trust and failed in their duties. Despite Anvar's initial press briefings, Muraleedharan noted that he has since been silenced. In response, CM Vijayan assured a public investigation without bias, with a high-ranking officer leading the probe.
