FlixBus India Expands to South India, Revolutionizing Intercity Travel

FlixBus India, a renowned brand for affordable and sustainable travel, has expanded its services to South India. Announced during a ceremony in Bengaluru, the expansion includes six routes to major cities. The initiative aims to provide eco-friendly transport options and bolster local operations with advanced technology.

FlixBus India, a global brand known for affordable and sustainable travel, announced its expansion into South India on Tuesday. The launch was celebrated with a flag-off ceremony in Bengaluru, featuring State Minister for Commerce & Industries, Infrastructure, M B Patil, and Flix global leaders Max Zeumer and Daniel Krauss.

State Minister Patil highlighted the importance of addressing long-distance mobility needs with technologically advanced, eco-friendly transport options. 'People now have an increased awareness about the environment, and we welcome FlixBus not only as a foreign investor in Karnataka but also a partner in our journey toward sustainability,' he said.

Flixbus India Managing Director, Surya Khurana, emphasized that the expansion to South India follows their success in the North. The initiative aims to empower local operators through the Flixbus digital platform, providing seamless travel for passengers. The expansion adds 33 cities on more than 200 connections throughout South India, connecting a total of 101 cities nationwide.
