Canon Unveils imagePROGRAF PRO-1100: A New Benchmark in Professional Photo Printing

The imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 sets a new standard in photo printing, thanks to its advanced pigment ink system, LUCIA PRO II, newly developed for this series.

Canon Europe has announced the launch of the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100, the latest addition to its desktop inkjet professional printer range. This flagship A2 model is designed to meet the demands of professional photographers and serious enthusiasts, offering unparalleled image quality and durability.

The imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 sets a new standard in photo printing, thanks to its advanced pigment ink system, LUCIA PRO II, newly developed for this series. This 12-ink pigment system provides a wider color gamut compared to its predecessor, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, delivering prints with exceptional depth, detail, and color accuracy. The printer’s ink technology also offers remarkable light fastness and scratch resistance, ensuring that prints can be preserved for up to 200 years, making it ideal for archival and documentary purposes.

For photographers working with matte papers, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 enhances black density with its matte black ink, bringing images to life, particularly in black and white photography. Those preferring glossy or semi-glossy finishes will benefit from the Chroma Optimiser, which ensures uniform glossiness and refined expression. The printer's scratch-resistant capabilities make handling prints during framing, packaging, and display a breeze.

The imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 shares its print head, inks, and software with Canon's larger models, such as the imagePROGRAF PRO-6600, PRO-4600, and PRO-2600. This consistency across different print sizes—from 17" up to 60" wide—makes it an ideal choice for photographers who need a smaller setup for proofing but want the flexibility to scale up for larger formats.
