Union Minister Amit Shah, emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Sahkar Se Samriddhi', announced the establishment of cooperative societies in every panchayat across the country. Shah made these remarks during a meeting in Nava Raipur focused on expanding the cooperative sector in Chhattisgarh.
Shah urged the Chhattisgarh government to set up multi-feed ethanol production plants in its three cooperative sugar mills within the next six months. This initiative aims to boost ethanol production from both maize and sugarcane, and Shah assured full assistance from the Central government.
Additionally, Shah recommended an agreement between the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF), and the state government to promote ethanol production and encourage maize cultivation among farmers. He also proposed a new public dairy scheme focused on tribal development and suggested that Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) function as multi-purpose units, benefiting rural areas through computerization.
