A private helicopter flying from Mumbai to Hyderabad crashed in Mulshi tehsil of Pune district on Saturday afternoon, but miraculously, all four persons on board survived, according to police reports.

The pilot was hospitalized in Paud, approximately 30 to 35 km from Pune city, while the three passengers suffered only minor injuries. Officials suspect that adverse weather conditions, including heavy rains in the area, played a crucial role in the crash, as reported by Inspector Manoj Yadav of Paud police station.

The helicopter, owned by Global Vectra aviation company, went down in Kondhwale village around 2 pm. Onlookers from the village quickly rushed to the scene to assist the occupants. Inspector Yadav indicated that although the weather was clear when the chopper took off from Mumbai, the conditions worsened dramatically by the time it reached Paud, leading to difficulties. The pilot attempted to land the helicopter, but it collided with a babul tree and ultimately crashed, with the tree cushioning some of the impact.
