16 National Awards for e-Governance to be Conferred at Mumbai Conference

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions will present the National Awards for e-Governance 2024 during the 27th National Conference on e-Governance in Mumbai on September 3-4. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions has announced the conferring of the 16 National Awards for e-Governance 2024 during the 27th National Conference on e-Governance in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Scheduled for September 3 and 4, the event will see Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh gracing the awards ceremony to honor outstanding achievements in digital governance.

According to the Ministry's statement on Saturday, the awards will be distributed across five categories: Government Process Re-Engineering, Application of Emerging Technologies for Citizen-Centric Services, District Level Initiative in e-Governance, Research on Citizen-Centric Services by Academic & Research Institutions, and Replication of Top Technological Solutions/Initiatives. This year's awards recognize innovative projects that leverage technology to improve governance and service delivery.

Notable winners include the 'Poshan Tracker' by the Ministry of Women & Child Development and the 'iGOT' initiative by Karmayogi Bharat. Other distinguished projects are the 'Area Officer Worksite Monitoring And Inspection Management System' from the Department of Rural Development and 'Shiksha Setu Axom' by Samagra Shiksha, Assam. The 'Rajkisan Saathi Phase-II' and 'Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC)' are also among the honorees.

The awards come with a Trophy, Certificate, and monetary incentives. Gold Awardees will receive Rs 10 lakh, while Silver Awardees will be awarded Rs 5 lakh. These funds aim to support the continuation and expansion of the winning projects. The ceremony will serve as a focal point to discuss and celebrate advancements in digital governance, reinforcing the government's commitment to recognizing and promoting excellence in this field.
