Massive Gutka Seizure at Navi Mumbai: Two Arrested
Police in Navi Mumbai seized Gutka worth over Rs 5 lakh and arrested two individuals in a recent raid. The banned substance was found in a house in Taloja's Pendhar village. Legal action under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) regulations has been initiated.

Police in Navi Mumbai have confiscated Gutka worth more than Rs 5 lakh from a residence and arrested two individuals in connection with the discovery, officials reported on Saturday.
The Anti Narcotics Cell conducted the raid on Thursday at Pendhar village in Taloja. Acting on a tip-off, the team raided the house and seized Gutka valued at Rs 5,40,850, according to a police release. Those arrested are identified as 32-year-old Satishsnigh Nepalsingh Thakur and 21-year-old Jitendrakumar Rajkumar Kamath.
The suspects face charges under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including causing hurt by means of poison and adulteration of food, along with violations under Food and Drugs Administration regulations. Gutka and similar tobacco products are banned in Maharashtra due to health risks.
