Maruti Suzuki India has announced plans to increase its Nexa sales network to approximately 650 outlets by the end of this fiscal year, with a strategic focus on Tier II and Tier III cities nationwide.

In a move to bolster its reach, the nation's largest carmaker inaugurated its 500th Nexa outlet in Bengaluru and now aims to add another 150 stores, with 100 set to open in smaller cities. 'We have made a very aggressive plan to expand the Nexa sales network. We are now planning to move to more of the Tier two and Tier three cities,' said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales) at Maruti Suzuki India, in an interview with PTI.

Launched in July 2015 to offer a premium car-buying experience, the Nexa network achieved significant growth within a year and now accounts for 37% of the company's total sales annually. With the 500th Nexa outlet, Maruti Suzuki's overall network includes 3,925 outlets across 2,577 towns and cities. The carmaker also introduced the Nexa Studio, a smaller outlet format, to better serve customers.
