The aviation regulator, DGCA, has revoked the approval for Bhopal-based aircraft maintenance organization International Aircraft Sales Pvt Ltd. This decision came after concerns were raised about its compliance with regulatory standards.

The suspension follows an audit conducted after an aircraft crash due to engine failure in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, on August 11. The crash involved a Cessna 152 aircraft VT-BBB belonging to Belagavi Aviation and Sport Enterprises, where the engine overhaul was done by International Aircraft Sales.

The findings revealed serious maintenance deficiencies, leading to the immediate suspension of approval. In a similar case last year, DGCA suspended the operations of Red Bird Flight Training Academy Pvt Ltd, reinstating them only after a complete recertification of their maintenance facilities.
