Dabur India Expands to South India with Rs 400-Crore Manufacturing Plant in Tamil Nadu

Dabur India, a leading FMCG company, announced plans to establish a new Rs 400-crore manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu's Villupuram district. This will mark Dabur's first manufacturing unit in South India.
The decision came following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu state government. The Phase 1 investment is set at Rs 135 crore, eventually scaling up to Rs 400 crore over five years, as per the company's statement.
The plant, located in the SIPCOT Tindivanam, will significantly boost Dabur's market presence in South India, where it currently garners 18-20% of its domestic revenue. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin, and the Industries Minister, TRB Rajaa, were present at the MoU signing ceremony. The facility will create over 250 jobs and offer new opportunities for local farmers to supply agro-produce.
