American Airlines Extends Israel Flight Suspension Amid Ongoing Conflict
American Airlines continues to halt flights to Israel until late March, a suspension initiated during the Gaza conflict. Customers can rebook or claim refunds. Other airlines, such as Delta and United, have similarly suspended flights, while Lufthansa has extended its halt based on security assessments.
American Airlines has announced an extension of its flight suspension to Israel through late March, a move initially made in response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
An airline spokesperson confirmed that passengers holding tickets for Tel Aviv flights can rebook without fees or opt for a refund. The airline has updated a travel advisory on its website to reflect these changes.
Delta Air Lines has similarly extended its flight suspension to Tel Aviv, while United Airlines' suspension remains indefinite. This decision comes in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attack, which led many international airlines to halt services to Israel.
Recently, Lufthansa declared a suspension of services to several Middle Eastern cities, including Tel Aviv, based on current security evaluations. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with US efforts to mediate a cease-fire proving unsuccessful.
