NMDC Steel Limited Hits Milestone with 1 Million Tonnes of Hot Rolled Coil Production

State-owned NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) has announced a significant milestone, producing 1 million tonnes of hot rolled coil at its Nagarnar plant in Chhattisgarh within a year.
NSL, which was demerged from mining firm NMDC, operates a state-of-the-art 3 million-tonne steel plant, often referred to as India's youngest steel unit. This facility was established with an investment of approximately Rs 23,000 crore.
Ahead of the first anniversary of HR coil production, NSL achieved the 1-million-tonne mark four days early. Company CMD Amitava Mukherjee praised the team's dedication and emphasized that this accomplishment sets a new standard in the PSU sector. He reiterated the company's commitment to maintaining its momentum in quality and efficiency.
