China is set to intensify its monitoring of inbound individuals and goods from monkeypox-affected regions over the upcoming six months, as per a statement from the customs administration released on Friday.
The new measures mandate that travellers from outbreak regions must declare any contact with symptomatic individuals and report any symptoms they have. Moreover, vehicles, containers, and goods from these regions are required to be sanitized, according to the statement.
This initiative aims to curb the spread of monkeypox within China by ensuring stringent sanitation and monitoring protocols.
