Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced on Thursday that the recruitment process for 35,000 positions would be finalized by October this year. The declaration came during the 78th Independence Day celebrations at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground.
Soren emphasized that linking the state's youth with employment remains a top priority. He noted that his administration successfully made thousands of recruitments during its tenure. The ongoing recruitment process includes positions for excise constables, general constables, assistant professors, and women supervisors, to be completed through the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission by October 2024.
In addition to this, Soren detailed that the state had inked memoranda of understanding with five industrial units, aiming to attract investments amounting to approximately Rs 4,000 crore and generate around 6,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. Over two lakh youths benefitted from state-run training programs and secured employment in the private sector, he said.
Soren also highlighted the government's commitment to addressing local issues by reaching out to every village and household over the past four and a half years. He criticized opposition forces for trying to hinder the state's progress but assured that public trust had helped thwart such efforts.
