Moldova Denies Hosting Aircraft for Ukraine

Moldova's foreign ministry firmly denied reports that F-16 jets destined for Ukraine would be based in their country. They clarified that no weapons or military equipment intended for Ukraine would be hosted on their soil and advised the Russian ministry to verify such information from official sources.

The Moldovan foreign ministry announced on Tuesday that Chisinau has no plans to host aircraft intended for Ukraine. This statement comes in response to Russia's foreign ministry referring to reports about F-16 jets allegedly being based in Moldova.

"Moldova does not and will not host weapons and military equipment, including aircraft destined for Ukraine," the Moldovan ministry said in an official statement.

The ministry also recommended that the Russian foreign ministry obtain information from official sources to avoid misinformation.
