Air India is working to uphold its scheduled flights from Delhi to Dhaka on Wednesday and plans to operate a special flight to repatriate people from the Bangladesh capital, sources disclosed.

Vistara and IndiGo are also expected to continue their scheduled flights to Dhaka, amidst an increasingly unstable environment marked by protests.

On Tuesday, Air India resumed its evening flight to Dhaka after cancelling the morning flight. The departure of Sheikh Hasina, who governed for 15 years, followed intense protests that evolved from job quota grievances into a demand for her ousting.

Sources indicate that Air India intends to run its two daily flights from Delhi to Dhaka on Wednesday. Additionally, a special flight is planned for repatriation efforts. Vistara and IndiGo are set to stick to their schedules, with Vistara operating daily from Mumbai and thrice weekly from Delhi.

Both airlines had cancelled their Tuesday flights to Dhaka. IndiGo usually dispatches one daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, and two from Kolkata.

Air India announced that it will continue running its evening flights on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi route. Due to the current instability, a one-time waiver for rescheduling is available for passengers with confirmed bookings between August 4 and 7, provided their tickets were booked by August 5.
