Reliance Jio Prevails as Global Leader in Mobile Data Traffic

Reliance Jio has sustained its position as the leading global mobile data traffic provider for the third consecutive quarter, as reported by Tefficient. The company has delivered a consistent increase in net profit and average revenue per user, driven by tariff hikes and an expanded 5G subscriber base.

Reliance Jio has once again cemented its status as the world leader in mobile data traffic, outperforming competitors for the third successive quarter. This revelation was made by consulting and research firm Tefficient, which compared Jio against major operators like China Mobile and Airtel.

In its recent post, Tefficient noted that Reliance Jio achieved substantial growth, outpacing China Mobile's 2% year-on-year increase. Jio, along with China Telecom and Airtel, marked impressive gains, with Jio seeing a spectacular 24% growth.

Financial reports revealed that Reliance Jio observed a 23.1% increase in standalone net profit in Q2 FY25. The company's strategic tariff hikes and enhanced subscriber mix elevated its average revenue per user, fortifying Jio's leading position in the Indian telecom market.
