Nintendo's Legacy: A Journey Through Gaming History at New Museum

Nintendo, the renowned Japanese game maker, is set to open a museum next week in Uji, near its Kyoto headquarters. This museum will showcase Nintendo's evolution from a 'hanafuda' playing card maker in 1889 to a global gaming giant.

Shigeru Miyamoto, executive fellow at Nintendo and creator of 'Super Mario,' highlighted that the museum aims to deepen the understanding of the company. Tickets for the first two months are already sold out.

Visitors will find iconic items like the Wii console and Game Boy, alongside lesser-known products like the 'Mamaberica' baby stroller and 'Copilas' printer. Interactive experiences include playing 'Super Mario Bros.' on a giant Family Computer controller. While mobile gaming efforts have slowed, other ventures such as theme parks have gained traction. Despite Switch's massive success, investors are eagerly awaiting details on its successor, expected by March.
