Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel Propel India's Telecom Growth in June
Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel significantly boosted India's telecom subscriber base in June, adding millions of new wireless and wireline connections. The total telephone subscribers rose to 1,205.64 million. However, Vodafone Idea, BSNL, and MTNL experienced notable subscriber losses. Jio led the broadband segment with 48.89 crore users.

Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have driven India's telecom subscriber base beyond 120.5 crore in June, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) revealed in its latest report published on Tuesday.
The wireless subscribers grew marginally to over 117 crore, while wireline connections increased to 3.51 crore in June from 116.89 crore and 3.47 crore, respectively, in May, pointed the Trai report.
Reliance Jio added 19.11 lakh new wireless subscribers and Bharti Airtel contributed a net addition of 12.52 lakh in the same month. Conversely, Vodafone Idea, BSNL, MTNL, and Reliance Communications saw subscriber losses, dragging net additions in the overall wireless segment down to 15.73 lakh.
