Former Indian cricketer WV Raman recently shared insights into the early career of Ravichandran Ashwin, one of India's most illustrious spinners. Now 38, Ashwin defies age as he continues to make significant contributions to the sport, having solidified his career since debuting for India in 2010.

Before becoming a household name on the international cricket scene, Ashwin honed his skills and reputation in domestic cricket, establishing himself as a unique force. Raman, who served as Ashwin's coach at Tamil Nadu, hailed the cricketer for his independent mindset and refusal to conform blindly to norms.

Speaking on the Tamil Cricket Podcast "Cricket Petta" by Sony Sports Network, Raman praised Ashwin's boldness and individuality.
