AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami launched a scathing attack on Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, questioning his swift rise in Tamil Nadu politics. Palaniswami referred to it as a result of nepotism and emphasized his own long-standing political journey.

Addressing a party event, the former Chief Minister challenged the DMK's achievements since taking power in May 2021, claiming the elevation of the younger Stalin is the only notable accomplishment of Chief Minister M K Stalin's administration.

Palaniswami, reflecting on his 50 years of political service, highlighted his gradual ascent, contrasting it with Udhayanidhi's rapid rise, which he attributed to his family lineage in the iconic DMK dynasty.
