The political landscape in Tamil Nadu has become increasingly tense as Union Minister L Murugan accuses the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of falsely portraying the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as antagonistic towards Tamils. According to Murugan, the DMK's narrative of the BJP imposing Hindi is unfounded and exaggerated.

This rebuttal arises amidst a heated dispute involving Chief Minister M.K Stalin and Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. Murugan stresses that Governor Ravi should not be blamed for the altered anthem rendition at a recent event held by Doordarshan Chennai.

DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai intensified the offensive, arguing that the Governor's actions were antithetical to Dravidian values. Annadurai suggested Ravi has insulted Tamil pride and called for his resignation, asserting that the Governor's apology for the anthem mishap was insufficient and politically motivated.
