Tunisia's Coaching Carousel: Faouzi Benzarti Fired After Comoros Upset

Tunisia's football federation has fired manager Faouzi Benzarti just three months after his appointment, following a surprising loss to Comoros in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Benzarti, 74, was in his fourth stint as the head coach of Tunisia. Despite his experience and previous triumphs with the team, the unexpected loss marked Tunisia's first home qualifying defeat since 2010, when they were also upset by Botswana in similar circumstances.

Still perched at the top of Group A, Tunisia aims for a redeeming performance in upcoming matches against Gambia and Madagascar. Securing one of the top two spots would ensure their 17th consecutive appearance at the Cup of Nations finals.
